Back tracking already (or some might call it lying)

WASHINGTON – Hours after President Barack Obama signed historic health care legislation, a potential problem emerged. Administration officials are now scrambling to fix a gap in highly touted benefits for children.

Obama made better coverage for children a centerpiece of his health care remake, but it turns out the letter of the law provided a less-than-complete guarantee that kids with health problems would not be shut out of coverage.

Under the new law, insurance companies still would be able to refuse new coverage to children because of a pre-existing medical problem, said Karen Lightfoot, spokeswoman for the House Energy and Commerce Committee, one of the main congressional panels that wrote the bill Obama signed into law Tuesday.

Lose the race card already

Blech.

Jimmy Carter insists that disagreeing with Obama means we're racists. I just saw a clip of him on TV and he referred to dissenters as "radical." Oooooo---radical racists! Can't get any more hateful than that! Did he take a look at the majority of attendees at the Tea Parties? Most of them are over the age of 50 and looked about as harmful as teddy bears.

Um...earth to Jimmy Carter: Last time I checked, we still live in the USA where we supposedly have free speech. Methinks Jimma Cahtah is projecting HIS (racist) beliefs onto legitimate protesters. How in the world can he explain how he got inside the heads of millions of people to come to this nefarious conclusion? He can't. It's mere speculation and a ploy to derail opposition.

The former failed president needs to go back to picking peaches off trees or something because he's making a colossal fool of himself. We're getting desensitized to the cries of racism because they are being thrown at us from every direction at the drop of a hat. It's losing it's power to shut people up. That's a crying shame for all those who pull it out to silence differing opinions. Whatever will all these race card throwing fanatics do when the race card has been played out?

Jimmy Carter also attacked people who live in the south and I'm sick and tired of that nonsense. I guess he forgot he lives in the south himself, consequently tossing himself into the racist southern hillbilly category. White people who preach to other whites about racism in public arenas make me suspicious that their motives for doing so have nothing to do with the people they are defending and everything to do with elevating themselves to hipster heights while pretending to be color blind.

Here's a little advice, Jimmy: Live and let live. Burn those race cards!

When I write letters to my children, I like them to remain between me and them. Not so for our PEBO. When he pens a letter to his children, he gets it published in Parade Magazine so that we can all take a look-see at what a swell guy he is. Of course Parade asked him "to get personal" because he is such a devoted father, blah, blah, blah...Obama considers his election "a great adventure that he's taking them all on." OMG. Understatement of the year, for sure! His letter to his children reads more like a love letter to himself with very little focus ON THE CHILDREN. I can smell a phoney a mile away and this guy is a BIG TIME NARCISSITIC PHONEY.

One really good thing about Obama and those who mindlessly follow him is that they don't seem to mind if you don't pay your taxes. Scratch that. They care if you are Joe the plumber, down on your luck and you can't pay your taxes, or if you're just a regular working class person trying to get by, however if you're wealthy and Obama wants you for his SECRETARY OF FINANCE, then if you "forget" to pay your taxes for four years in a row, it's just a minor "Hiccup!"

Oh, and Geithner didn't realize that overnight camps for the kids AREN'T allowable expenses when calculating dependent child care! Give me a break. CROOK!

This guy is so out of touch with reality it isn't even funny. His entire campaign is based on attempting to shame or silence dissenters. Someone please tell me how wanting to keep money that you have earned is considered SELFISHNESS. What a bunch of bullshit. Here's a man who has plenty of money and yet his brother lives in a hut and his Aunt (of which he writes about in his book Dreams From My Father) lives in a slum somewhere in Boston. This should sound the alarm for anyone who supports this man because what he is saying WITH HIS ACTIONS rather than his WORDS, is that he wants the government (through taxes from you and me) to bail these people out rather than dipping into his own wealth to care for his OWN FAMILY. What a hypocrite.

But what's really scary to me is that I am beginning to understand that many Obama supporters love the idea of socialism--of someone else stepping in and providing for them. I watched a video clip of a woman at an Obama rally and she said she was just so thrilled about the prospect of having Obama as our next president because finally someone would buy her gas for her and pay her mortgage. Um...WTF? Is this what goes on at Obama gatherings? Does he tell them that he's going to pay all their bills? This type of stupidity is staggering to me. Does Obama have a secret money tree that none of us know about? Or are WE that money tree?

While MSM is busy tabulating the cost of Sarah Palin's wardrobe, some of us are more concerned with the state of the economy and exactly how we got here (not the bullshit lies we are being fed by the mainstream media!!!)

While the MSM is busy dragging Joe the plumber through the mud for asking a question which led to an unscripted response from Barak Obama uncovering Obama's socialist agenda, long time friends of Obama, with anti-American, terrorist leanings get a free hall pass. Hundreds of reporters swarmed Joe's front lawn. I am guessing not one reporter knocked on Bill Ayers front door to get the full scoop on him. Why investigate Obama's relationship with Ayers when Sarah Palin is spending too much on clothes? Priorities people!

The thing that bothers me the most about Obama is his dishonesty. He unabashedly lies to the American people and no one calls him on it. He does not inspire hope or the hope for change. I wish I could see what others see in him but despite trying, I cannot.

I know that the MSM is attempting to manipulate people with their constant negative reporting of McCain/Palin. Their hope is that if we hear often enough that Obama has this race all wrapped up, that it will discourage those who are planning to vote the other way to stay home and not waste their energy and time by voting. Good luck with that.

It is always dangerous to count your chickens before they hatch. It is always foolish to assume that American people are stupid or gullible. The secret to winning is having the mindset that you are a winner and not quitting until you make that a reality.

My favorite part of watching the presidential debates is how after the debate is over, the media comes on and tells us what we just saw, and I am left scratching my head as to whether we have all been watching the same thing because our views are so completely different with regard to the same event. It's like looking outside and seeing a snow storm dropping 3 feet of snow all around, and then the news comes and tells us it's sunny outside with temperatures high in the 80's. Alrighty then!

I'd like to point out how ridiculous this notion is that all Barak Obama needed to do to win the debate was show up. I have to wonder just how many screws are loose in the heads of folks who think like that. That's a completely irresponsible approach to choosing a president. How many of us are permitted to show up at our jobs, do nothing, and get rewarded with a promotion or pay raise? How many mothers feel as though simply waking up in the morning is enough effort to put forth into raising responsible human beings? I mean, really. What I've learned from my time on earth is that when we expect NOTHING, we get nothing. I want more for America. I would really like to know why are we asking so little of Barak Obama.

Here's something else I find curious. I keep hearing about how Barak Obama is ahead in the area I live, but if you take a little spin around town, for every 10 McCain/Palin posters I see displayed, I will only see 1 for Barak/Biden. If there is such overwhelming support for this man, as I am being told by media, then why am I not seeing it with my own two eyes? What I hear from the media is completely contradictory to what I am seeing in my every day life. Part of my double major in college was Journalism (many, many years ago so let's not go there). What I am witnessing going on in the media right now is nothing short of scandalous. Reporting the news has been replaced by CREATING the news. What a complete buffoon show. Interjecting your opinions into the news is NOT reporting facts which is what true journalism is all about. Perhaps a refresher course is in order for some people. Here's a clue mainstream media: Do not knock me flat on my face and tell me we're ballroom dancing because I'm not going to buy it.

Rush Limbaugh jokingly says that there are two political parties in the US, the Democrats and Racist America, suggesting that if you do not vote for Obama then you are automatically in the racist camp. Democrats are banking on people being uncomfortable being labeled racist, and use this tactic to fight every difference of opinion. They hope shaming us by screaming racist in our direction will be the nudge we need to come to our senses and over to their side. Fortunately, there are many people who choose not to be manipulated by this song and dance. I don't expect Obama supporters to think the way I think so I don't see what's so hard about them extending me that same courtesy.

I can't wait for this whole thing to be over. I have prepared myself for the possibility of not having the man I want in the White House, but I hold unwavering hope that the best man (my man) will win.
