So much fun....for real!

The HOTlanta housewives reunion did not disappoint. During the season, I found myself really liking NeNe (because she seems like a lot of fun), Lisa (because she worked hard), and DeShawn (because she seemed to have a good heart). I did not like Kim (because she was always telling us how expensive her material possessions were as if that's what's important in life) or Sheree (because she was way too full of herself when most of us were wondering what she saw in herself).

I think the reunion show left me feeling a little sorry for Kim because she took the brunt of the harsh criticisms. Of course, she sort of asked for it what with her Big Poppa ridiculousness and her desire to be a singer when she can't sing a tune to save her life. I won't even mention that she's actually really only 30 but looks about 45 or her excuse for wearing a bad wig started out with her insinuating that she had cancer and lost her hair/lost a lot of weight, then ended with her telling us that she DIDN'T have cancer but something else she couldn't mention!!! No wonder Lisa wanted to flip her over the couch. Let's not pull the cancer card unless it's real, people!

I think what I like most about this show is that when I watch it, everything feels familiar. I know for a fact that none of those women live in the ATL, but that doesn't bother me. They are so over-the-top-fun to watch. And Dwight? LMAO. I swear I saw him at the Lenox Mall this summer strutting his fabulous stuff. He needs his own show. For real. (We also had an Ugly Betty/America Ferrera sighting but that's another story for another day).

Can't wait for next season.

I'm soooo behind on all of the Bravo shows (I haven't finished Project Runway or started Top Design). I'm not sure I enjoy the Atlanta season as much as the OC. Both the Atlanta cast and the NYC cast seemed more about showing what they had and material possessions than the OC does. I'm only a few shows in, but Kim drives me crazy as does the gal that had just moved into her house and had the charity gala.

Amie, I just like it because I live in the same area and it's fun to watch things and know all about them. These housewives do come across as more shallow than all the other shows (and that's saying something!), but I alway got a good chuckle watching and that's what counts!

Since we talked the night of the reunion, I ended up watching it and then the new season of OC. I haven't been able to keep up with any shows over the last few months but glad I caught them both last week. Is there a new Project Runway on now??
